Runas Expeditions Family has the honor of presenting you a new challenge on our tours and that is Despacho Offering to Mother Earth. The entire Runas Expeditions family comes from shaman ancestors and for us to continue practicing, preserving and sharing ancestral customs is an honor. This ancestral knowledge that we practice does not happen overnight, but on the contrary, it is knowledge that was practiced hundreds of years ago by our ancestors and Runas Expeditions family, will still continue to practice and share these fabulous customs of our land Cusco – Peru.
Participate in a beautiful ceremony to express your gratitude and love for Pachamama, Mother Earth. Offerings to Pachamama have been elemental to the Andean people for thousands of years to strengthen the powerful exchange of energies between with them and her. Preparing the offering is one of the most sacred privileges and pure ceremonies in the Andes and has the potential to move powerful energies to manifest miracles and abundance.
Pachamama is the mother of all life on this planet and the most profound communion a shaman can have is with her – in compassion, unconditional love and gratitude. During the ceremony the shaman will be creating a mandala-like artwork from meticulously chosen and programmed seeds, candy, coca leaves and many other sacred elements on a white paper. During the process you have the opportunity to program your own prayers and intentions for where you need blessings in your life.
Once the offering is completed, it will be wrapped like a present and given to the sacred fire. Once it has been received by the fire, already powerful blessings and miracles are manifesting in our lives and you’ll be brought back to your hotel.
Itinerary:
Offering to mother earth – Pachamama
After breakfast we will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco and head to the sacred place to do the despacho offering for Mother Earth.
The mountain houses are the most important temples and enigmatic archaeological sites of the sacred valley, here the Master will introduce himself and share about his life and lineage of ancestors, we will speak about the Andean worldview and the way we work with the andean ceremony.
After a little bit of consultation time, to talk with the master, he will do the first ceremony of permission to the Apus Gods of nature to help in the ceremony (apus means the spirit of the mountains). The ceremony with Runas Expeditions Family is based on your personal intention, to help you connect deeply with the Andean spiritual world, our master’s will guide the ceremony with much respect and following the knowledge of your ancestors in the use of the tools and objects of the offering, explaining each object and step giving a meaning to the ritual.
The Ceremony: Led by an Andean Master, the ceremony involves creating a sacred mandala-like artwork using meticulously chosen seeds, candies, coca leaves, feathers and other sacred elements. This process offers you the opportunity to infuse your prayers and intentions into the offering, directing blessings to areas of your life where they are needed most. Once the offering is complete, it is wrapped like a gift and presented to the sacred fire, where powerful blessings and miracles begin to manifest.
