Pre-Tour Briefing:
The tour guide will meet you at your hotel one day before your tour to give you a briefing. They will tell you all about your tour and answer any questions you may have. It is important to us that you ask any questions you may have so the tour guide will get you ready for your amazing tour.

Day 1: CUSCO – OLLANTAYTAMBO – AGUAS CALIENTES TOWN
We will pick you up at 8am from your hotel to take you to the train station. From Cusco to Ollantaytambo we take a private mini van which is 2 hours, and we take train from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes for 1 hour and 40 minutes; the train drive is breath-taking with very comfortable seats. During the trip, you will enjoy many glacier peaks, green lush valleys and many Inca farming terraces in both sites of the valley.
Moreover, you will be able to see many Inca ruins and the km 82 where Inca classic trail begins. Little by little, you will enter to the jungle and Aguas Calientes town (2000 meters above sea level) where our representative will pick you up and take you to the hotel, then you will have free afternoon where you can organize some activities such as visit to the hot springs, Mandor Botanical Garden and waterfalls. All meals is on your own
Day 2: Machu Picchu and back to Cusco
The most important day of our journey.
We will wake up early to take the first bus for 30 minutes up to Machu Picchu. Once you pass the Machu Picchu checkpoint, your guide will take you to the Guard house where you will see the sunrise over the ruins and take a Postcard shot of Machu Picchu. Then you will have 2 hours of Machu Picchu guided tour during which you’ll learn about the Inca civilization and visit all the highlights of the Machu Picchu. You will visit, Sun temple, temple of 3 windows, Incas house, Main Plaza, etc.
After visiting the citadel of Machu Picchu you’ll catch the bus down to Aguas Calientes where you will have lunch then you will board the train at 02:55 pm back to Ollantaytambo, then go on by private van to Cusco City. We will drop you off at 07:00 pm in your hotel.

Accomodation: This amazing journey provides a very nice 3 star hotel at overnight, and is based on a shared room (Double occupancy).
If you would like to upgrade your hotel, or prefer a single room, there will be an additional cost.

Student discounts apply to anyone who has a valid UNIVERSITY STUDENT CARD at the time of the tour or who is 17-years-old or younger. For those using an university student card to receive the discount, we need to see a copy of the card at booking time. HOW TO BOOK MACHU PICCHU 2 DAYS TOUR WITH RUNAS EXPEDITONS?
In order to book your Machu Picchu 2 day tour with us, we will need a deposit of $200 per person. Once we get your deposit, we will send you a confirmation of your trip and the booking form to fill out. Here is all the detail that you need to send us.

We need copies of Passport of each participants because they are required to get Machu Picchu and train ticket.
HOW TO MAKE A DEPOSIT?
We are Unable to accept any bookings without completed booking form and deposit sent to Runas Expeditions. All deposits are $200 per person and are non-refundable.
We accept payments through PayPal and Visa, they do charge 6% so the total per person is $212 and should be sent to runasexpeditions@gmail.com

WHAT ABOUT THE OUTSTANDING BALANCE?
You’ll pay your balance in due in Cusco before your tour. Runas Expeditions is only equipped to accept payments in cash for your balance. Please let Runas Expeditions Knows you plan to pay your balance before your scheduled briefing time.
HOW ABOUT THE STUDENT DISCOUNT?
According to Peruvian Law, you have to be under 18 years old at the time of your visit to Machu Piccu 2 days (if you are 18 or over, you need valid student cards). Below is the sample of valid student card
All students from 11 to 17 years old have a discount of $25 USD.
For children from 2 to 11 years old have a discount is $25 USD.
All students have to send a copy of their passport and student card at the time of their booking to get the student discount. Send us a copy at info@runasexpeditions.com
MAY I CHANGE DEPARTURE DATE AFTER THE PERMITS HAVE BEEN PURCHASED?
Yes, it is possible. But you have to pay the penalty of 25% of deposit which Peru rail and Machu Picchu office charges us.
DO I NEED TO BRING MY ORIGINAL PASSPORT ON THE MACHU PICCHU 2 DAY TOUR?
Yes! You must bring your original passport and it is very important that it should be same passport you sent us to reserve your Machu Picchu ticket. Your passport will be checked at Machu Picchu checkpoint and when you board the train.
UPDATING PASSPORT NUMBERS
If you are renewing your passport, go ahead and email us a copy of your old passport to book your Machu Picchu ticket. If you no longer have your old passport, any government issue ID will be accepted, as long as the name is the same. Once you receive your new passport. Please email us a copy of your new passport ASAP to change the information of your ticket.
WHAT IS THE SCHEDULE OF MY TRAIN TICKET?
It will depend on the train availability. We usually book the 12:55 pm schedule from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes on day 1 and the return train ticket is at 02:55 pm so you arrive to Cusco at 06:30 pm and you have enough time sleep and do any tour next day.
CAN I STAY IN THE SACRED VALLEY FOR MY MACHU PICCHU 2 DAYS TOUR?
Yes, you can stay in Urubamba or Ollantaytambo. by staying in the Sacred Valley, your pickup will be 1 hour and half after the cusco pick up time so you can rest more.
